SEOUL, South Korea (Yonhap) - South Korean striker Hwang Eui-jo played in a pre-season match for English professional soccer club Nottingham Forest for the fifth consecutive game. Nottingham lost.
Nottingham fell 0-1 in a friendly against hosts Eindhoven at the Philips Stadion in Eindhoven, Netherlands, on Aug. 31.
After starting the game on the bench, Hwang came on for Chris Wood in the 17th minute of the second half and played about 30 minutes.
Nottingham were outplayed by Eindhoven, and Hwang was unable to generate any offense.
Hwang has played in five consecutive preseason friendlies.
After taking the field at the start of the second half in the first preseason game against Notts County (4th division) on Aug. 16 and scoring a minute later, Hwang appeared against Valencia on Aug. 19, Levante (Spain) on Aug. 22, and Leeds United (2nd division) on Aug. 28.
In that match, Eindhoven won thanks to a 21st-minute goal from Yohan Bakayoko.
Bakayoko struck an unstoppable left-footed mid-range shot from the right side of the penalty area into the bottom right corner of the goal to give his team the win.
